Champions Cricket Club was formed as a means for players to put all they learn at practices and in the nets to use as well as continue perfecting their cricket skills when school cricket season is over. The club accepts players from the Ekurhuleni metro and falls under the Eastern Cricket Union. As such, Champions Cricket Club must abide by the rules and regulations set out by the Eastern Cricket Union for senior and junior leagues.

The Eastern Cricket Union club cricket season usually runs from October each year to about the middle or end of March the following year. There is a break from the end of November till the middle of January the following year and the second half of the season generally starts the weekend after the schools open.

Junior league matches are held on Saturday mornings starting at 8:30am and players are required to be at the venue to warm up by 8:00am at the latest. Senior league matches are held on a Sunday afternoon starting at 12:00pm and players need to be at the venue from 11:00am.
